We all have running conversations with ourselves in our head. The question is, what kind of chat is taking up real estate in your brain?
If you are prone to negative self talk, (note: I have been so guilty) consider this: Our thoughts create "stories" which can make us feel good or bad. Usually, the stories aren't even true! If your mind is determined to weave a fanciful tale (and it likely is), why not find some different thoughts and stories to tell yourself?
You don't need to spin a fantastic fantasy about your boundless self esteem and world domination. Just try reframing your well-worn, negative self judgements into something even a tiny bit positive.
Your thoughts are going to work FOR you or AGAINST you. Don't you deserve a break?
And yes, you do.
